Pacific Northwest Conference UCC
Kirkland Congregational Church is one of seven local area churches that have joined together as the "Greater Kirkland Ecumenical Parish." Each Spring the member churches renew their signing of a covenant, in which they agree:
- To pray often for each other and for the unity of all churches.
- To worship together on special occasions throughout the year.
- To come to know and respect each other's form of worship.
- To foster mutual understanding of one another's traditions.
- to work together to promote social justice, community service and outreach to the oppressed.
- To encourage a sharing of facilities, programs, and resources.
- To celebrate community-building events throughout the year.
- To provide for the honoring of this covenant by succeeding administrations in our various churches.
- To establish a joint committee to implement and evaluate this covenant.
