Christian Education for All Ages

Our Christian Education classes have gotten off to a good start this year. Our teachers volunteer their time and talents to give our children and youth a positive experience in a loving and caring setting. The goal is to provide a wide variety of programmed activities designed to enable spiritual growth and faith development, thus creating the building blocks of faith which will remain with them throughout their lives.

We will continue with the Chapel Time for the children this year. Each Sunday following the Children’s Time in the worship service, the children will go to the Chapel for 10-15 minutes together. During the Chapel Time, we will introduce the scripture lesson for the day, celebrate birthdays and special accomplishments, collect a Children’s offering, and learn about the elements of worship. Sunday School classes will dismiss at 11:45 AM each week. The Children’s offering will go to the Common Cents Fund and our special Mission Projects.

See the list below for this year’s Sunday School staff.

KCC UCC April Mission Project: The Birthday Corner

April is the month to support Hopelink's Birthday Corner. Our support will allow low-income families an opportunity to select free birthday items from their Food bank whenever a child is celebrating a birthday. Our support will help parents who are faced with financial limitations be able to select party items to help their child’s party be a success. Over 600 children will benefit with our support.

Choose one of these ways to help:

  1. Buy party supplies: plates, napkins, party hats, candles, balloons, cake mixes, frosting, etc. Return items to church by Sunday, April 13th or Sunday, April 20th.
  2. Make a financial contribution to the Common Cents Fund to help us purchase new party items.
Let’s show these children we care about them!
