Caroling, Caroling!

Downtown Kirkland will be the scene for a "Night of Lights" on Thursday evening, December 5, 2002, which will feature a caroling procession with Santa Claus down Park Lane and Kirkland Lane to Marina Park for a treelighting ceremony and more caroling. The parade will form on Park Lane near Main (parking at the Library) at 5:30 pm and begin at 6:00 pm. The tree-lighting portion at the Marina will begin at 6:30 pin with caroling from 7:00 pm to approximately 7:30-8:00 pm. This will be a wonderful family experience which will also feature street vendors, musicians, and entertainers. Many local schools, churches and community groups are being asked to participate.

Seattle Sings Messiah

The annual "Seattle Sings Messiah!" happens this year on Saturday, December 28, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. Mark your calendars with the date, but the location has not yet been announced! In preparation for the Messiah-sing, director Louis Magor will conduct rehearsals on six Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm (November 5, 12, 19; December 3, 10, 17) at the Wallingford United Methodist Church, 2115 N. 42nd St. (at Bagley), Seattle. A Messiah Preview lecture will be given by Perry Lorenzo on Monday, November 25, from 7:00-9:00 pm at the same location.

For $89 each participant receives 12 hours of instruction from Lou, admission to Perry Lorenzo's lecture, a ticket to Seattle Sings Messiah (December 28) with preferred seating, and a unique tee-shirt. Bring your own score or purchase at the first class for approximately $7.50.
